Right now they are fine (19 weeks) and dont feel tight but I am scared that one day I will wake up and need a chainsaw!

You may never need to take them off. Not everybody's fingers swell. I didn't have to take mine off until I was in the hospital.

Re: when should I remove my rings?

Mine did right away and I got a cheap-o white gold ring for 20 bucks since I didn't want patients to think I wasn't married. My e-ring is bigger anyway so it still fits easy. Some days the water weight disappears and I can use the real wedding ring.

Re: when should I remove my rings?

I am still wearing my ering and wedding band, and I'm 28 weeks..

But they are getting SNUG so I have ordered another fakie set to wear when the day comes I cannot wear them at ALL anymore. I think in a few weeks I'm not going to chance it anymore, I don't want them getting stuck Chat Icon

Re: when should I remove my rings?

My e-ring is a little flat in the back from wearing it to the gym so I've taken that off. But I'm still wearing my wedding bands.

Re: when should I remove my rings?

At 36 weeks my E-ring still fits. My wedding band for some reason got tight early, I think because it has a curve to it to fit flush against my e-ring. I have been wearing my band around my neck for about 2 mths.

Re: when should I remove my rings?

I am almost 24 weeks and I still have mine on. It was a little big to begin with. I'm hoping I won't have to take it off at all.

Re: when should I remove my rings?

just FYI... my friend refused to take off her rings for a while. she finally decided to take them off but they got stuck and her finger turned blue. she had to get them cut off and she said that she thinks labor will be nothing compared to the pain of getting them cut off! So, IMO i think the sooner the better!

Mine are fine (17 wks) they may never get too tight - but what I started doing just in case- is taking them off to sleep. That way if I ever wake up swollen etc. I won't have them on. This may backfire if I become swollen during the day though Chat Icon

Re: when should I remove my rings?

I stopped wearing my wedding band a few weeks ago when it started getting snug. I switched my e-ring over from my right hand to my left at that time. My right hand is 1/2 size larger so now my e-ring is perfect for my left hand Chat Icon Chat Icon
