Reynold's Slow Cooker liners---ok to use??
I have the slow cooker liners but always hesitate using them, the crockpot heating the plastic that surrounds my food always makes me hesitate....are these really ok to cook with?? They don't change the taste of the food at all?

They should be fine as they were designed for this usage.
For me, my crockpot cleans very easily and so I wouldn't use them as it is one less chemical/plastic that I don't want to be exposed to.
I'm sure they are fine, but I am a nut about things, I try to have an almost plastic free kitchen.

I don't like using liners because I'm not comfortable with the idea of heating plastic for such a long period of time! As much as a PITA it is to clean the crockpot, I'd rather deal with that than using the liner. I know people love its convenience, but it's just not for me.

That is what i was thinking too, the plastic is left for so long being heated but i like the idea of just taking out the liner, throwing it out and putting away my crock pot too, im torn!

I'm using one right now with my beef stew
They really do make clean up a snap!
They are a very thin plastic and did most of the dangers of heating plastic have to do with the very high temps? Slow cookers don't get very hot.
I've used them all winter and really like them. There is no change in the taste at all!

Re: Reynold's Slow Cooker liners---ok to use??
I personally will never use the liners again. I used them to make some food for my DS and he developed irritation around his mouth and his cheeks. He was not eating something new, it was something I'd made without the liners before. I tried 2 different times with 2 different meals and both times his mouth and cheeks became irritated. No liners in this house!

I don't use them anymore because of that reason. I think the food is better without them anyway.

I agree, I'd rather wash the pot.
