I made incredible slow cooker ribs last night...here is recipe!
OMG these were DELICIOUS. I tweaked a recipe from allrecipes and made these for DH's bday..served with cole slaw, corn on the cob and a cold beer 
I used 2.5 lbs of baby back pork ribs.
-Salt and pepper ribs and place on baking sheet. Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes on each side.
Remove from oven, drain any fat, and place ribs in crockpot.
In a bowl mix 2 cups bbq sauce (i used jack daniels BBQ), 1 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, salt & pepper and 1/2 cup chili sauce (I did NOT use chili sauce but was told was good addition).
Mix sauce well and pour over ribs. Turn ribs to coat. I had to cut the ribs in half to fit in crock pot.
Set crockpot to low setting. Now this is a tricky part...recipe said for 8 hours on low but mine were done in 5 and a half . I set it to "warm" after that amount of time for 2 hours and they were perfect. Any longer and I think the sauce would have really started burning.
They fell off the bone and the sauce was incredible.

I had to cut the rack in half and place on top of one another..I didn't want to individually cut them and glad i didn't, they were perfect this way!

When you cook the ribs in the pot, were they completely submerged in sauce? Did you put them "meat up"? Also, did you remove the membrane on the bottom of the ribs first?
This sounds so good (and easy!) I am so afraid of my crockpot!!!

If you aren't opening the lid, how did you know they were done?

I coated the ribs with the sauce by taking tongs and flipping them over and over until each side had sauce on it. I placed them on top of one another, and every 2 hours flipped positions so one section wasn't just on the bottom.
I didn't remove the membrane thing, didn't even think to do that, i figured it cooks with the meat.
I knew they were done when at 5 hours into cooking I went to scoop some sauce and coat again and the end piece of rib fell off the bone. I tasted it and was like "Woah! done already!" BUT I used 2.5 lbs of ribs and not 4 so if you are cooking more, i'm sure another hour or 2 may be needed.

Also..wanted to add..doesn't matter which side is up or down, thats the great part about a crockpot..everything steams in there, and the sauce gets liquidy so everthing cooks evently! This is the only way I'll cook ribs from now on!

You are my (well DH"s if these work out!!) new hero! I am going to the store tonight and I'm going to try them out. It kills me to pay for pre-cooked ribs when it could be this easy!

My butcher has racks of ribs (whole ones) for like £.99 (thats maybe $2) because no one eats ribs here.I am going to get some tomorrow! Thanks!

Definitely let me know if you guys make them and how they came out and if you did anything diff. to the sauce. Next time I make them I will add a little "kick", I am just scared of too much spice although DH loves hot stuff...

If I can get a nice cut I am making it tomorrow. I plan to add a little heat to it. We love spicy.

I think some communities eat ribs, there were a bunch of ladies from the West Indies in there buying them last time I was there, but instead I bought them today from the supermarket and I paid about £3.50 for a kilo (so thats maybe $7 for 2.2lbs) Didn't get a chance to get to the butcher today. I am going to make them tomorrow. I can't wait!!!

I think I need to double the recipe next time!
(I also didn't use the Chilli Sauce, I actually had it in the house but I didn't want an open bottle left over. Sauce was great with out it!)

I made them on Saturday (finally)! They took so long to make though so we started to eat something else and were full  I reheated them last night and they were amazing! They probably would have been better the firs day but they were still amazing
