DHA

do you take DHA with your prenatals and if so, does it come in the same pill as the vitamin or does it come separate?

Also, can you just buy DHA or do you have to buy it with the prenatal? I looked in RiteAid yesterday but I only saw prenatals that came with a second pill for the DHA and I couldnt find DHA in the regular vitamin aisle apart from the prenatals.

I take the One a Day prenatals and the DHA is a separate pill. The two bottles come in one box though. I've never seen the DHA separate. I would ask the pharmacist the next time you're in there.

I take whatever samples that I can get my hands on at work. Some have DHA in the PNV (my faves), the others- separate. Sometimes, actually most of the time, I don't take the DHA pill. When I get a BFP, then I will be more diligent.

From what I understand, you can buy DHA as a supplement. Try a vitamin store, or ask pharmacist.

I've seen pills come both ways. Sometimes the DHA comes with the prenatal but as a separate pill. My old rx duet dha pills were like that.

But not I take rx prenate pills. they are called prenate. They are so much better than the duet ones and it's just one pill that has DHA in it. The coating on the pill is better for swallowing and it has a sweet fruity sort of taste so there isn't a yuck yuck taste left in my mouth like I used to get with the duet dha pills.

I've seen OTC prenatals with the dha... but the only ones I know of have them as a separate pill but they come together in the same box.

I would think you could find DHA as a totally separate pill altogether, but you would probably have to search around for that.
