TGIF QOTD
What are some things you did as a child (or didn't do) that you're looking forward to doing with your LO once they come?
For me, it's the constant amazement at things we take for granted like fireworks and fireflies and Disney and all the wonders of childhood.
I have it all pictured in my mind...now if we could just GET THERE!!

Hmm, I loved everything I did as a child and I think my parents did an exceptional job at giving me and my siblings a wonderful childhood even with the financial problems we faced. I cant wait to take my kids to amusement parks and teach them how to ride a bike.

Go to the park, go down to the local docks and fish, picnic at the beach, walk on boardwork, bike ride to get ice/ice cream...so many....

Unfortunately, like so many others, my brother and I had very difficult childhoods at the hands of our parents. I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that my future DC have the complete polar opposite childhood than I had.
I want to do family things, build memories and traditions that my children can carry onto their future families. I pray that my children look back on their childhood and remember that it was filled w/happy memories.

I had a great childhood and will make sure that my LO's have one as well. I will take them to parks, the beach, pools, them parks (we loved them parks growing up). Also family vacations, birthday parties and tons of meeting new family time. I can't wait to teach them how to ride a bike, roller skate, ice skate etc.

I loved going to all the family parties. Any that my mom (a single mom) couldn't go to for work, my Grandparents brouht me too. I want them to have the same experience

For me, staying over at my grandmother's house was pretty magical. I hope it will be for my LO's as well! Also, turning a regular day into a special one for little or no reason. I remember my mom throwing a "party" because she found a bag of candy corn in the back of a kitchen cabinet and we thought it was so exciting or having ice cream for dinner because my dad was away and he'd never let that fly. I guess I just want to create great memories for my LO's as well as building great family relationships for them.
