I just made this last night:
1 cup steel cut oats 4 cups water(I used a bit less, I like it thick) 1/2 cup milk (I used coconut)
Then the recipe said to add dried fruit but I added fresh apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and a dash of agave nectar and vanilla. It was so good!!
I think the trick is to keep it on warm most of the night so it doesn't burn. I put it on high initially from 9pm-11pm then turned it to warm overnight. At 6am it was perfect. It was so nice to wake up to breakfast already made and DS went nuts over it.
