I think my roof is leaking
found a bunch of water on the floor of my kitchen last night. Today a tiny bit but it looks like it's coming from the light fixture.
Please give me some recommendations for a roof co or tell me if you think it's something else.
First time I'm seeing this and I need a roof repair like I need a hole in my head.

Ugh, how frustrating!! I know it's a long shot, but could your gutters be clogged & causing a back-up of water? DH actually had to go out during the storm last night to clean out one of our gutters.

I don't know. Could it be that and the water had no where to go but stay on my roof and cause a leak?

Best Price did my Dad's roof (and siding) in Plainview last September.
The owner, Steve, lives right across the way in Hicksville. He has worked with my main contractor a lot (he did the windows and some other stuff) and has done the roof on his house. He was very honest, very professional, quick, neat and reasonable.

Yes, definitely check this first, especially if you do not have covered gutters. There was so much debris from so many storms this winter your gutters might be clogged.

This was an old post of mine. Try giving them a call, dont know if they come to your area.

I just have to rave about this company!!!
I called over 6 companies and only 2 even CALLED back.
This company came same day, gave me a price quote and found out what was wrong. They fixed it later that day, I didn't even have to be home. They left a typed invoice with ALL of the repairs they made listed on it. The job looks excellent that they did (flashing on my chimney).

just called advanced gutters. They are coming tomorrow.
In the meantime, I will put down towels down on the floor so the wood doesn't get more damaged.

Another good suggestion is putting plastic bags under hte towel to protect the floor, or a large flat bucket like the gift wrap storage containers (so the floor doesn't get wet).

Thanks for the suggestin.
Dh is canceling advanced. He wants to use someone else.
Letting him handle this now since apparently I didn't do a good enough job of this.

I will get you the number of our roofers. They were very reasonable and give a 5 year warranty!! When my husband calls later I will ask for the name and number and get back to you.
