Being sick throwing off your cycle?

I know that getting sick can throw off your cycle, making AF come later than usual.
Does that apply if you get sick the day AF is due? Should have gotten AF the latest I thought on Thurs. Wed night I had a slight fever and have been congested, headache, sneezing, runny nose, not to mention a few bloody noses ever since. Just wondering if this could be the reason I am late. Cant say that have any PG symptoms other than sore boobs and moodiness, but that is typical for me if I am PMS so I dont want to read into it/
Trying to hold out on taking the HPT until I am a week late.

I would test since you're late. I heard bloody noses could be a symptom. Also I think the fact that you're sick could be a sign too. Good luck!!

Getting sick a day before AF is due really shouldn't change anything. When getting sick usually has an effect is when it delays O which in turn would delay AF. But if you O at the same time as normal AF should come the same time.

Still no AF this morning so I took a HPT and it was a BFN.
This was CD 36- I have never had a cycle this long.
The dissappointment really hurts.

Thanks for the support. AF arrived yesterday. I have decided the quickest way to have a late AF show up is to take an HPT! Second time this has happened.
