Do you take your HPT alone or with DH?
Just wondering if when I take a HPT if I should do it when DH is home and let him know I am taking it or take it alone and let him know only if it is a BFP. For some reason if it is a BFN I would rather be alone and not even tell him about it, but what if it is a BFP- is it wrong for us to not find out together? Cant decide if I want to find out together at the same time or find out and surprise him with the news. We have never discussed this.

I've taken them alone. I don't think DH even knows I take them, obviously they've been BFN's  . I just prefer to deal with the dissappointment alone.

When I tested with DS, I did it without him. He was outside. I was so stunned, I hid in the bathroom and called my girlfriend before I went outside to tell DH!
Last month I tested without him, didnt even tell him. He kind of just figures if I get a BFP, Ill tell him. Otherwise, he assumes it wasnt our month,

Just kidding!!! I use to take them with him waiting outside..but after so many bfn. I do it alone now and then let him know

I do it alone, since he wakes up and is out of the house so early...not to mention I would be embarrassed if he knew just HOW MANY tests I actually take

ding ding ding! The first month when I got a BFP I obsessed like a total freak over the tests, lining them up on the coffee table. I think it scared him. He asked me to try and wait until AF is late to test, for my own sanity.
As far as I'm concerned there is no reason to tell him about BFN's. Why should both of us be bummed out?

I've done it both ways....... With my first pregnancy, I surprised him because I tested a day earlier than planned. With this pregnancy, he woke up while I was fumbling with the box and we basically found out together

I have yet to take a HPT this whole journey of TTC. When i do i think i am going to do it alone (within an hour of Dh cming home from work) so i can regain myself then tell hm as soon as he gets home. ( i bought a really cute onsie to give to him when i get BFP

I take it alone and I dont even tell him that Im taking them. I feel it would just be a disappointment if it were a BFN...and honestly, I POAS quite often he would probably be annoyed with me if I asked him to be there with me each time I POAS

I would take it alone but when DH was home. I intended to plan a special way to surprise him but the morning of my BFP I got up super early bc I had to pee badly and was so shocked to see two lines that I woke him and shoved the pee stick in his face lol. No special planned surprise for us 
Edit: I also had wildly irregular cycles and wasn't using OPKs so I didnt know when AF was due or if I even ovulated. I was POAS on an internet cheapy every few days. I did take a bunch of HPTs with DH after my BFP as confirmation

I took them whenever, sometimes DH was home sometimes he wasn't. I never told him, in case it was a bfn, at least I was the only one dissapointed. the day I got a bfp, I was alone and sent him a picture of it
