has anyone been/used a surrogate

Could you share with me the process. (FM me if you feel more comfortable).

I am going through my final attempt at IVF right now and if it does not work we are going to use a surrogate (my SIL), but we have not yet discussed with RE the whole process, just the fact that is it our backup plan.

A lady at work just had a baby via a surrogate (her sister). She had cancer and was not able to carry chirldren on her own. I don't know any other details.
