May Mommies check in.
Just wanted to see how we were all doing since we are getting close to the end. How are you feeling? What have you gotten done? etc.

Re: May Mommies check in.
I feel like most people know how I'm doing I'm 33w tomorrow, at home on bedrest, dealing with gestational diabetes. I'm actually in surprisingly good spirits! I feel well overall and I'm still sleeping decently, though I wake up about 5 times a night.
Yesterday our baby furniture arrived! We currently live in a 1br co-op (which is on the market! Come buy it!) so the crib is in our bedroom, while the dresser/changing table is in our dining area (how appetizing!) and the rocker is in our living room. Oh well - you do what you have to do, right? I'm not bothered by it. We'll have a house eventually!
I made my list for a hospital bag but have done nothing so far as packing it. I told DH I need him to go buy me granny panties since I'm stuck at home and he keeps calling them bloomers. I don't know whether to laugh or punch him.
How's everyone else doing???

I am 31 weeks and we are putting up our coop on the market in the next few weeks! Besides REALLY wanting a house right now, I feel great!
Haven't done much to prep for baby, I really need to get moving!

Re: May Mommies check in.
I'm 32 weeks on Monday and I generally feel good, aside from a variety of annoyances (carpel tunnel, leg and back problems that have required physical therapy for 2 months now).
Furniture is here, but crib needs to be assembled. Shower is next week, so i expect I'll have some work and organization to do after that.
is doing great.....measuring big and head down for 3 weeks now. I go for a growth scan on Tuesday and am excited to see him again!
Starting my countdown to the end of work.....really looking forward to not commuting for a while (though I know childbirth is no vacation!).
Hope everyone's well!!

Re: May Mommies check in.
I am just over 34 weeks and on bedrest as well, going to dr. appointments twice a week to make sure my blood pressure is ok as well as the baby..through everything, the baby is fine *knock on wood* and it's been me...everything is closed but baby is low since about 32 weeks...two Mondays ago weighed 4.5 lbs. and we are gunning to get to 36 weeks...
As for things we've done..we are aiming to pack the bag this weekend..our crib and chair are in and we'll call when the baby is born to have it delivered. We ordered a bunch of smaller clothes to my mom's since we were told at this point that the baby would likely not wait until May to make an appearance. We have our carseat bases in (when I went on bedrest, we kind of panicked and got it done) but everything else is at my mom's. I figured out how I want the drawer below the changing pad on the dresser to be (I know it sounds so minimal, but it was something I wanted to settle and have organized) and basically, that's it...oh, and we ordered diapers, wipes and Aquaphor to my mom's as well, so the basics are all there and ready. I just want to find a nice cotton robe for the hospital...

Re: May Mommies check in.
I'm 33w today and I'm getting VERY uncomfortable. So much pressure and haven't been sleeping at all (doesnt help that I have a cold too) So far we just have the crib set up. Hopefully in the next week or so I'm going to go through DD's clothes to take out any gender neutral stuff she might have that I can use with this baby. We are team We had a growth sono at 31w5d and the baby is head down and ready! weighing in at 4lb3oz. About 6oz more than it's sister was at that exact time. I thought emerson was active in utero but OMG this baby does.not.stop. It's actually very aggravating at times b/c its constantly ROLLING and it hurts. I'm getting super excited though to see what this baby is! Everyone is saying boy, and i would LOVE a boy, but my gut is saying girl. We will see in a few weeks!

Re: May Mommies check in.
I'll be 31 weeks on Tuesday. I feel pretty good aside from the occassional heartburn, and the waves of exhaustion that have returned from the 1st tri.
I haven't gotten anything done...Im waiting to buy things until after my shower, and we are hoping to move soon, so I can't set anything up yet which is frustrating.

Re: May Mommies check in.
I will be 33w tomorrow I feel very uncomfortable. I am getting told I am huge! but we produce big babies so hopefully that's it. I am still only up 15lbs which I am very happy about. I have to see the cardiologist on Tues. because I am very short of breath even when I am just stationary. I have been buying diapers like crazy and brought out DS swing, bouncy seat and cradle cleaned it all. Other than that I haven't done much. I'm glad we you all are feeling pretty good overall!

Re: May Mommies check in.
I'm feeling good. 31 weeks, 3 days. The little guy is measuring a little small so I am going for weekly sono's to monitor his growth since 26 weeks, so far so good though. I am guessing he is just not going to be a 10 pounder. Fingers crossed he keeps getting what he needs inside.
Shower is in 2 weeks, so getting excited for that. DH is painting the nursery today actually! Furniture should be arriving some time in April. Will probably start to pick up last minute things after the shower.

Re: May Mommies check in.
I'm 31.5 weeks and feeling pretty good. I ordered furniture last weekend, but we are not moving into our house until late june so it'll be a while before we see it again. In the meantime we'll have a bassinet in our apartment.
My shower is in 2 weeks so I have been majorly registry stalking. I just can't help myself!
I have a list for my hospital bag, but haven't started packing yet. I still need to buy granny panties and shower flops.
We started Lamaze classes last week and that's going well. Aside from learning the Lamaze technique I've found it really useful to learn more about the birthing process in general.
