How do you clean your DSLR lenses?
I see Nikon cleaning wipes and stuff, but would regular, generic lens cleaner be the same thing? Plus, what type of cloth am I looking for?

The guy who sold me my eyeglasses said not to use the same cleaners so I stopped without asking him too many questions. Get a kit. I am insane with cleaning my lenses and filters. Regarding the sensor, see http://www.bythom.com/cleaning.htm.
Oh, wait, maybe you were not asking about eyeglass lens cleaner but just about whether to use a Nikon cleaner. I have had it but then I bought something else at Berger Brothers. I do not even think they had a Nikon brand cleaner in stock. What I got seems to be fine. I think that my original kit may be Nikon  .
