progesterone levels

So my progesterone levels at cd#21 was -.08.

Now according to my OPK's, i didn't ovulate until that day that i had the bloodwork done. Or the day after. But i definitely didn't ovulate on cd14 or anything.

Just how bad is this? and what happens next?

should i have the bloodwork done again in 3 days- cd#29 if i didn't ovulate until cd#22?

*well this explains the mid cycle spotting i had for 6 days.

Re: progesterone levels

You should have blood drawn 5 days after the OPK says you ovulated.

Well i had mid cycle spotting for 6 days. When i went to my ob, they wouldn't do any testing. So since i had to have routine bloodwork done for my regular doctor (regular checkup), i asked him to add it to his list.

No i had blood taken anyway for a routine checkup with my regular doctor, so i asked him to check the progesterone levels along with everything else (since i was already having blood taken). Chat Icon

they need t check progesterone at a specific time in ur cycle i believe..so if this was just random time and it was low i would not worry..

and u did not ovulate yet right?

Re: progesterone levels

what is important is that they rise and fall during the month to show ovulation..

if u r gettig positive opk's and have reg periods ando on your own u should be fine

trust me u do not want to be on progesterone..it is not fun and very messyChat Icon

if you ovulated AFTER the blood draw, then the results have no meaning.

you need to have blood drawn to measure ovulation within 5-7 days after ovulation. if it was prior to ovulation your number SHOULD be very low.
