Re: Bleeding Gums
My gums naturally bleed so I cant give my opinion on this. However, I just found this online. Bleeding gums can be a sign of pregnancy.

Thanks! it happened yesterday and I thought it was weird since it had never happened before. I was on my way out so I mentioned it to DH but didn't think anymore on it and I happened to be on a website today where people list their symptoms during their 2WW and a bunch of people listed gums bleeding during brushing. Then it dawned on me. It could also be nothing. AHHH...this whole thing frustrating. And today my teeth are aching something awful

Re: Bleeding Gums
well. I have some interesting info on this.
My dentist and I were talking and I told him I was TTC.
He said: Yeah, I know your not PG.
Me: ???
He said: PG womens gums are REALLY inflamed. I have actually "diagnosed" quite a few pregannacys when the women didnt know.
So yeah. It COULD be something...

I must say that almost everything seems to be a possible "sign"..this month i had one random bloody nose..also this month i got bad chapped lips, which i never get...i googled both for fun and both happen to be pregnancy signs..i truly hate the 2ww..it's torture!!!!! good luck to you.

Re: Bleeding Gums
That was one of the reasons I tested this month (we weren't TTC) because my gums were bleeding. It was a BFP. This could be it! to you!

We'll see...it hasn't happened again, but my teeth are really sensitive and there is a metallic taste in my mouth today...weird. But who knows...I think our bodies like to mess with us sometimes.
Will post a pic (as long as my phone takes a clear one) if I DO get a BFP. Here's praying...

So it's NOT good news that at the dentist yesterday they said my gums looked great?! Now I'm bummed.

Re: Bleeding Gums
My gums only bleed when I am pregnant - it was my first sign at 9DPO that I was pregnant with my son!

Re: Bleeding Gums
That is how I know when I'm pregnant. It happened with all 3 of my pregnancies, as early as the day after conception.
I brush my teeth, see red, and then tell DH I'm pregnant, but we'll have to wait 2 weeks for a test to confirm.
Baby dust to you!!

Wow - okay. Now that is really being in tune with your body.
I have had bleeding gums before but only with flossing. I wasn't brushing hard, In fact I was barely brushing at all because I was in the middle of trying to talk to DH to NOT forget something as we were just about to leave the house (YES - I am THAT woman who talks while brushing her teeth even though noone can understand what I am saying and I will just have to repeat myself anyway ) Then I went to spit and saw blood...then I looked in the mirror and my gums were full on bleeding...I was like "Hmmm..that's a new one" and then left. Today it tastes as if I am chewing on metal...or that feeling in your mouth after a DEEP cleaning at the dentist...you know...mouth all raw and sensitive. Trying not to read into it as this is my first cycle of BCP and first cycle TTC maybe this is something that will happen every month now during PMS...who knows. But it is nice that it could POSSIBLY be a symptom of a little one. One thing I am learning is that everyone is different just because it didn't happen that way for you doesn't mean it couldn't possibly be a sign for me. Stay positive.

I'm speaking the honest truth! My gums don't bleed any other time! It happens immediately for me, it is really weird, but really cool at the same time!

I think it IS cool! It's funny how sometimes people will say your crazy and its FAR too early to be having any symptoms but everyone is different. And we all have our own quirks. Some people get lots of symptoms early on and others get none. It really gives me hope.
