On my last month of BC
I was on BC for 12 years. I'm not afraid to go off it, I'm not looking forward to the horrible cramps and irregularity I had before it.

If it's any consolation, I had horrible cramps and heavy periods before bcp as well...and after 7 years of being on the pill (with the exception of when I got pregnant with DD), I stopped in September, and things were NOWHERE like they used to be....a few minor cramps, but nothing like it was pre bcp!

I was worried about the cramps as well, but strangely enough, they haven't been that bad and I went off BCP about a year ago. The only thing I've had to deal with have been some breakouts. On the plus side, my mood swings have gone down and my libido up (sorry if TMI), so you never know.
