Ladies who got a BFP
Did any of you obessively worry, even after the BFP came?? I am so paranoid that it's going to disappear, or not be real.....
I personally had a great, healthy pregnancy the first time, no m/c that I know of, so I don't REALLY have a basis for the fear, other than some aunts that have had m/c, and a close friend who just lost her baby at 9 weeks....
I just wonder if I am alone in this paranoia, or is it normal?????????
I am still in shock, bc it happened SOOOO fast!!!

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
I am 10 weeks and just went last week to confirm. It was killing me!! My doc and husband had to calm me down bc I was so fearful or not seeing the heartbeat. I don't know why bc I wasn't this way with DS. I guess bc I am a little older and more overweight than last time. Just have faith and try to enjoy the ride. Thats what I keep telling myself

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
Every minute. I'm scared to go to the bathroom, freak out over every twinge. I'm going to the nurse today for blood work, but won't see the doctor for 2 more weeks. I'm so scared there will be something wrong.

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
i got a BFP in december and did not doubt it for a minute. Took one test on Sunday and one on Monday, both positive, that was enough for me. We were ecstatic. Unfortunately it turned out to be chemical. Now I am soooo scared to get another BFP. I feel like I am going to be a crazy woman and paranoid. So i can def. understand the fear. Tons of prayers that everything is ok for you!!

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
Yes, I was incredibly nervous. I POAS on an internet cheapy 2x a day until my second beta results. I POAS a few more times since then as well, and kept saying things like "if we have this baby..." etc because I was so worried that something might go wrong.
I thought seein a heartbeat at 7w would help, which it did, but I was going crazy again around 11w before my second sono. Once we saw a hb the second time I did calm down a lot, and I've finally been able to "relax" after my NT scan results came back perfect. We also bought a fetal doppler so we can listen to the hb at home between appts.
I am still nervous, but the majority of people do go on to have healthy pregnancies. The first trimester is especially tough but try to stay positive. It's hard not to worry but worrying doesnt do any good...
Congrats on your BFP!

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
this certainly was the case for me when I had a BFP. And worse for the 2nd time around BFP because of what I went through the first time.
I remember shaking like a leaf the 2nd day I was testing. it was a digital and my anxiety level was through the roof waiting for that little hourglass to go away and for the results to come up. I kept thinking my BFP would go away somehow.
I think for you the 2nd pregnancy might be scarier because you have heard more of the stores about what has happened to those you know and what could happen. It really takes the innocence out of pregnancy.
it's perfectly normal to be really nervous about this. Most preggos I know are nervous. Once you see the first heartbeat you will feel better... not 100% but with each milestone the % will increase.
Good Luck!

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
Yes!!!! So nervous, I can't relax at all it's terrible. I went through a loss at 12 weeks with my first pregnancy, now that I'm pregnant again, I can't stop feeling so scared. I just want to get past 12 weeks. It's normal to be nervous and scared, I'm trying hard not to let it take over but it's difficult. Good Luck I'm sure everything will be fine.

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
I get paranoid the first 8 weeks till the dr appt.. no reason to be, just am cautious (sp?).. When I got my bfp from ds I didn't believe it till the dr said yes and I heard the heartbeat.. that is probably why I won't test for my next one till way after af is due to arrive..

Re: Ladies who got a BFP
I'm terrified. I have had two early losses/chemicals, and I am just so scared that this will be another one. We have been TTC for two years. I am hoping that I see a nice rise in my beta tomorrow, (so far it was 39 on Thursday and 69 on Saturday) and that that will make me feel better, but in all honesty, I will then just be anxious about the next milestone.
I hadn't tested since Saturday morning until I got home this afternoon. I POAS for the first time in the afternoon, after drinking a lot, and the digital still said "Pregnant," so that made me feel good.
I know that cramping is normal in early pregnancy, but it is still freaking me out, b/c at times it feels like AF is coming.
I don't think I will be able to relax until I give birth!
