Puffs
Where can I find them? Does Gerber make them? I looked at S & S and Target, but didn't see them. All I saw was Gerber Graduates and finger foods that said 10 months+. Also, aren't there some kind of big teething biscuits that sort of dissolve instead of break off? I'm looking for safe finger foods for my 6 month old. TIA.

Re: Puffs
I've also gotten them in the grocery stores as well as Target -- they even sell them in CVS/Eckerd types of places.
Zweiback cookies should disolve -- they are thicker as I remembe rthem -- almost like a flavorless biscotti in shape.

Re: Puffs
I usually buy them at the grocery store (we have different ones in Chicago) or Target.
ETA: at 6 months Nate was eating the Gerber biter biscuits.

Re: Puffs
I just posted about finger foods earlier today Looks like they are on the same path still...Logan looks at my food like he's starving, even if he has just eaten. The same for all my water bottles and cups=he wants it all. I bought banana flavored puffs at S&S. They have veggie puffs too. I hold it in my fingers and let him munch down and gum it. I know your dd has teeth though...might be dangerous to put your fingers in He has to learn when to bite certain food though. I let him nub on a pizza crust too tonight, he loved it. I held that too. I have not checked with my dr. about any of this though

Yes, I'm such a dope, I saw that, sorry for same-subject-posting! They ARE on the same path! I gave her some water from my cup today for the first time, she wanted more!!! I AM worried about giving her certain things b/c she does have her bottom teeth, so for now I've just been using fruit in the teething feeder. My S & S *****, they never have the puffs, only those wagon wheels, guess I'll have to venture elsewhere.
Just curious... does it say 10+ months on the puffs container or no?

Just checked the my container and there is no specific age on the container. I have the old packaging, but I know Gerber redesigned their packaging (they are a client) and I'm not sure if they put on the new ones.
ETA: You can go to their website and check. There's a chart with different stages and it tells you which of their products you can use for various ages.

Re: Puffs
Andrea don't worry about the post, I almost never do a search to check...I should be embarrassed... On the container it says your baby is ready for puffs when: Crawls on hands and knees without belly on the floor eats thicker, lumpier foods with larger pieces uses jaws to mash foods with gums and holds small foods between thumb and first finger Logan's always been good motorically, How is he supposed to learn to mash food if you don't give foods similar to these. I hold them in my fingers to be safe, until I feel he gets the idea of taking a bite and chewing. Speech pathologist + Baby= especially nervous first time mother about feeding!!!!

Re: Puffs
Oh yeah, I was thinking of adding the fruit puffs to my own diet as a low cal substitution at 25 calories for 80 puffs

I've eaten a few from Nate's snack container while we were out before. I had no shame...
Gerber sent a bunch of samples to the office and people snack on them all day. You walk around and see the containers on people's desks.
