Talk to me about agave
I bought some today but haven't opened it yet. Is it able to be used in place of sugar anywhere? Like in coffee/tea? Does it have a flavor or just sweet? I'm too nauseous to try it right now lol (I'm pregnant and dying of heartburn). TIA!

Re: Talk to me about agave
I just made carrots tonight with agave. I roast them and then put some agave on them.

Re: Talk to me about agave
I use it for anything needing sweetener except for coffee, I just can't do it. I know many people do though. It is perfect for tea, oatmeal, lemonade, brownies, etc.
ETS: To me it is kind of like a watered down simple syrup if you made it out of sugar cane. Hope that makes sense, lol. Try it, you may like it!! I put a little in my oatmeal every morning.

I have it in tea all the time. Coffee I only do if I'm out of sugar but it's good in that too!

Re: Talk to me about agave
You can pretty much substitute it for sugar in anything, but it sweeter and because it is a liquid and not a solid it can mess up proportions when baking so you should look up recipes online using it rather than just put 1cup of agave in place of 1cup of sugar anytime you want to use it.

Re: Talk to me about agave
I love using it in my coffee. I use it for sweet potatoes too when I bake them in the oven and on my pancakes (Trader Joe's has a maple agave)
