Can someone confirm something for me?
Ok. I want to make sure i understand something for next month when i try again.
In another post someone said that the length of your period doesn't determine when you O.
Ok, so last month I thought i O'd on cd 13/14, but i didn't end up getting aunt flow until about 25 days AFTER the day the i thought i O'd. So is it safe to say I didn't O, when i thought i did????????????

A 25 day LP (time between O and AF) is abnormal - it's MORE normal to O late and get your period 2 - 2.5 weeks later.
I think it's safe to say that you O'd late that cycle. You could have not O'd at all but if you have normal cycles I don't know how likely that is.

Agreed. LP shouldn't really flucuate, but ovulation certainly does (if it didn't TTC would be a heck of a lot easier ). Did you confirm your O date by charting or OPKs, or just guessing?

Re: Can someone confirm something for me?
Thanks. I used those stupid line tests and got a positive, but then i realized that whenever i tested with FMU, they kept coming out positive. The only thing that confused me is that i also had the CM that they say comes when you are about to O. So i assumed that the test was somewhat accurate and bed around that time.
I week or so later i had some pretty intense cramping, so now i'm thinking maybe that was O pains. (at the time i thought it was implantation cramping..duh!!!)
I bought the digital OPK's for next time. Maybe i shouldn't test in morning, since i kept getting positive results in the morning with the line tests. This is all so confusing!!!

with the lines they have to be the same color exactly or the line has to be darker...so if you saw a line maybe it wasnt a positive reading yet?
the lines do get confusing...i never used FMU with the lines always afternoon so that could have been the problem also.
its definitely possible to O later than what you thought and its possible to have many days where you see fertile CM..good luck for next month!!

Re: Can someone confirm something for me?
Use the digitals, the lines are hard to decipher. If they keep coming up positive all the time, talk to your doctor as this can be a sign of PCOS.

No, mine only come up positive in the afternoon I think it is just when you're surge is occurring. Try the digitals, they cost more, but are much easier.

Re: Can someone confirm something for me?
If you have a smart phone I suggest you get a period and ovulation app, if not there are some you can get as tickers for your profile page. It helps you keep track and can help calculate when you may ovulate. They BD the day before, during and after to try to get that egg!!

not the fact that they only come up during FMU, but a sign of PCOS can be when you frequently get positives on the opk throughout the cycle
