Question about AF symptoms and 2WW.

So.

I usually get AF cramps about a week before AF. I have one day (which might be tomorrow) where I get all weepy.

PMS scuks.

So here is the question.

My body (Our bodies) doesent know that an egg is coming down the tube right? As far as my body is concerned its gonna prep for AF like normal. The ONLY thing that will change is (hopefully) a fertilized egg will attach. THEN my body knows "hey there, no AF".

So basicall, we should have AF symptoms up till a fertilized egg lands in the uterus, right?

Good question, I actually think your body preps to be pregnant every month, that is why your lining is building. And then when a fertilized egg doesn't implant, it sheds it's lining. Cramping is a result of the lining shedding, but cramping is also common in early pregnancy. The 2WW sucks, but it's best to try and not to read into symptoms.

you're body doesnt know the difference until implantation occurs. this generally happens between 7-9DPO. at that point the embie implants in the uterine wall and secretes HCG which tells your body to do things to support pregnancy, ie. not shed the lining and not get AF. prior to that your body doesnt know the difference and neither should you Chat Icon

Re: Question about AF symptoms and 2WW.

Thanks, thats what I thought.

It wasnt about me stressing over symptoms. Rather, making sure there were NO "symptoms" to worry about.

Thank you.

I'm 10 DPO.

I always think about this question! So funny. I get PMS starting a week before my period 7-14DPO. I get sore BBs, bloated, sometimes crampy a day or too before, emotional, all that great stuff.

Sometimes I get depressed bc I know its a period symptom so I don't think I'm pregnant, I think it means I am not. I kind of wonder when I do get pregnant will the lack of PMS alert me that something is different, or will I have PMS as usual???
