Please help me figure something out
How long have I been ttc? We started at the very end of august but winged it . Then started using opks in September so how long would you say it is? 6 months? Or do I not count Aug bc we were winging it I'm so confused never in my life would think it would take this long  I often think about the ladies that have come and gone from this board and I am still here it definately s*cks!!!!!

 don't look at it that way, everyone has their own personal journey towards ttc.. some say, they are winging it, but it reality it is anything but..
To answer your q, I would say September, because its when you started to fine tune the BD schedule...

I have to agree with that statement. It's hard not to compare but "winging it" means something different to everyone.
And since your chances are exactly the same every month... it doesnt make you any more likely to conceive on month 6 than it did on month 1. Some may have issues but for some I just think its a combination of good timing and good fortune!

I've been trying as long as you, but I saw I'm starting month 5 b/c we skipped December (did not see each other the entire week I was Oing.) I've been on this board for a lot longer, b/c I wanted to be prepared so feel like I've been here forever. Our time is coming, don't worry!

I have been here for a while too. We winged it in May, started using OPK's in June.... so we have been trying for 8 or 9 months, depending how you look at it. All I know for sure is that it's A LOT longer than I intended on being here Our time will come

i would prob say 5 months cause it was end of august but dont matter if its 5 months 6 or the big 10 months that i am approaching..bfn stink nomatter when u get them

it doesn't really matter if its 5 or 6 months (not to be dismissive of how long you or anyone has been trying)
If you want to say 5 or 6, either is fine
Don't let the length of time get to you or give you any added stress! The average length of time for a 'normal' healthy couple under 35 is 6 mos to a year.
The ones who get pregnant on their first try are lucky... so don't let the length of time make you feel too bad! I know its frustrating, but just think of yourself on a journey, you know you'll reach the end, just not sure how long it will take
