Does this bug anyone else?
So I mentioned in another post that I have heard recently of many BFPS (friends, family, etc) We all get bothered when we hear "it just happened, we weren't really trying"... but something I'm discovering is that when they start discussing pregnancy sysmtopms, due dates, etc they are completely clueless. Oh, I dont know when my last pd was, I havent been to the dr yet, etc... And I find myself wanting to spill out all this info Ive learned through crazy research to educate myself on getting pregnant and being pregnant... But.. , I dont have babies and havent been far along in a pregnancy so my opinion doesnt hold much weight anyway.
I dont expect everyone to be knowledgeable because if they are lucky enough to hit the baby jackpot on the first try then they wouldnt need to know this stuff... But I almost feel like when a newly pregnant person asks a mom about her pregnancy and what she can expect.. my first reaction is "ask me.. I need to put this info to good use for someone!!!"
Anyway, think Im just getting exhausted from all the BFPs around that aren't mine yet. Thanks for letting me vent.

I could not agree with you more! It bugs me when people say, "oh it just happened....it was meant to be." For me... I do not think meant to be will ever happen...I will have to plan and give blood. Take this medicine . Watch this hormone. Look for a dark line. Dip a stick to find a smiley. Oh nope...just an empty circle. Oh now a smile. BD! bd! BD! 2 WEEKs..... hopefully no repeat!
SO YES! It bugs me too!

Yes!!!!! And I have a friend that just had a baby and since I lurk on parenting and pregnancy I was asking her milestone stuff and she was like, I don't know. Don't these people go online or read a gd book!!!! I have done so much research for TTC that went I get a BFP I'm going to research everything I can about babies for 9 months. How can you not want to know stuff?

Re: Does this bug anyone else?
its funny you posted this. a good friend just got her BFP. she was trying for a few months but not like the way we try here. she didnt remember her last AF, didnt know when she ovulated, and wasnt sure when to test, she just did it on a whim and got a nice dark BFP.
anyway for a split second i was jealous. i went through 18 months without a sticky BFP and ultimately had to do IVF. there wasnt a day in the process where i didnt know EXACTLY what was going on.
but now, i really feel refreshed when i talk to her. i LIKE that there are women out there that DON'T need to overanalyze everything. they dont track CM or test at 8DPO or worry that they didn't BD on the right days. it actually reminds me that it DOESN'T have to be this way just because you want a baby. for me i doubt the path would be any different cause of PCOS and conditions, but I'm so glad that there are woman out there who just get pregnant. i dont know why but it really is refreshing to me!!

I agree with this.
For some of us I know we have been trying for a long time or have medical conditions that make it necessary to overanalyze...
But a lot of us (like myself) have been OPKing and researching EVERYTHING since the the first month or even before of TTC (like myself )
It comes down to personality I think.
For ME I do not wing ANYTHING. Everything I have in my life has been plotted and planned, so why would TTC be any different?

That's a great perspective!! It would be so refreshing to be able to say... ehhh I dont give a crap, it will happen and in the mean time, Im not temping, analyzing, reading, etc... it probably would happen faster for me if I was one of those girls...
