come in give all advice n opinions regarding event location needed
I have a question, if..u were to throw a surprise party or any event where would you have it?
Why do u pick this place? was the food absolutely insanely to die for? service??
I am inquiring because I want someplace where the food is outstanding, not a place where I never remember what was served. I only have 1x to do this. Thank u soooo so much!

Re: come in give all advice n opinions regarding event location needed
well the only times I threw a party unrelated to my wedding, I chose bar-type places (one was for DHs birthday, I also planned my graduation party from college)
I just chose places that we have been before, and knew had good food and service. At the times that I was planning said parties, money was an issue as well.
What type of party is it, birthday? How old is the person? Where do you live?
Maybe we can name some nice places.

Re: come in give all advice n opinions regarding event location needed
its not birthday party although I used it as a example I believe in orignal post. It is a baby shower my my sister. I want to throw the best one I can. I always throw my own parties in my yard so finding a place is a challenge. aNything that ever wowed me is not really a option for a location. It means alot to me because my mom passed away in 09 and I want to do the best like my mom. I really am looking for great food.
I have some ideas but never have been to a party there.
Painters tellers mama lombardis the place in sayville that does wedding weddings is the only one I have been to n I love-the name is slippin me- thank u for trying to help!

I am not a big fan of Tellers. I think it's really over-rated.
If you're looking at Suffolk south shore how about Louis XVI in Patchogue? I looked at it for our wedding but it was too small. It's pricy but the food is amazing and the private room is really pretty.

Re: come in give all advice n opinions regarding event location needed
I had my wedding at Hamlet Willow Creek. I have to say the reason I chose it was because of the food.
If I'm being completely honest some of the food was only 'eh' - but there were certain dishes that were amazing (the penne with Plugra butter cream sauce, the Chilean Sea Bass, The lamb chops..).
If it were a smaller party.. and for a SERIOUS foodie.. I would probably look into le Soir in Bayport. I think their duck is the best I've ever had.
(Is the place in Sayville Lands End? I love the look of the place.. but the food can be hit or miss)

You can try 21 Main in Sayville. They have a room upstairs that fits about 40-50 people.
The food there is AMAZING.

we had our wedding at bridgeview yacht club and they had amazing food! they use the upstairs for smaller parties like showers all the time but i'm not sure how much they charge...
i also know an amazing caterer that has magnificent food for a GREAT price if you want to cater into your house or something like that!

Re: come in give all advice n opinions regarding event location needed
lands end I have gone 1x n it was a hit--I def can see a hit or miss, I think I know someone who knows the owner, could help. I would def take a caterer name expecially just to have :) tellers I alwys heard they were good but def can see being overrated-I had never gone. I will def put the rest on my list, the french restaurant I cannot do but I have lived in Bayport 13 years and have to go there! I think its because its so close I just pass it. I will def check out all of these. What about painters? I went a million years ago so I dk., n the pics well the place looks more like a happy hour place not chic.
