It's official
I signed up for the LI Half marathon 
Now I have NO excuses - I must train for this!!!
I didn't even tell DH yet  I don't want him to make me doubt myself - he means well, but he makes these things such a big deal... it is always why I chickened out. He is such a perfectionist with running that he feels you must train and run a certain way to be able to do this....
I just want to give myself the opportunity. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, and I decided this is my year.

Congrats, you will do great!! I always say I'm not going to run it, yet I find myself signing up almost every year!! It's just pretty easy logistically and it's a flat course. And I don't think you need to train a certain way....just as long as you get a couple of longer runs in, plus shorter weekday runs, you will be fine. I ran my best times when I didn't stress about piling on high mileage. Good luck and enjoy the experience!

Thanks everyone.... I am used to mastering whatever I set out to do. So this is waaaaaaayyy out of my comfort zone. I decided to do that more often. I will have a few million questions for you

Liza, you can totally do this!!!! Even if your longest run is 10 miles, you have the kind of tenacity that will find those other 3 miles in you. So don't worry about following a training program. Like a PP said, just run. You will do great!!!! This is my goal run for *maybe* next year.
