Turkey Trots
Is anyone doing any this year?
I am doing the one on Thanksgiving am in Massapequa. It's the first year they are doing it. Last year I did the one in Huntington and it was lots of fun!

Re: Turkey Trots
I haven't decided yet..if I do I think I might do the Massapequa one since it's only a 5k and I just ran a half yesterday. Just not sure I want to pay $30 for it.

Re: Turkey Trots
I am running one in Buffalo, its an 8K and the longest consecutively running race in the country... 115 years! This is my 1st year doing it and Im super excited, usually around 15,000 runners! I am just praying my back starts to feel better... I was in a car accident (someone rear-ended me) last week and my neck and back have been giving me problems. Good luck to everyone doing one!

Re: Turkey Trots
Looks like no turkey trots this year for us - we will be in shelter Island - I am thinking of the mattituck one but it still is 20 min. from Greenport and think it may be too far with traffic - will see...
If not, I'll do my own trot, and then we will be hiking together at Mashomack

Ooh, I didn't know there was a Massapequa one! I might do that, although if I am going to I have to decide by tonight. I have done Garden City in the past.

I'll be doing the Huntington one. I can only do it every other year, but I love it.
