This is definitely not my day!
If anyone else tells me they're pregnant or their wife is pregnant I don't know what I'm going to do! I just bumped into someone just now in the hallway that I haven't spoken to in a few months and he goes "Oh BTW my wife is pregnant, she's due in March" and I said "Oh Congratulations, talk to you later!" Maybe I was a little too obvious but it really gets annoying when everybody I bump into is knocked up but me!
(scream!)
Vent over! Thanks for listening!

Re: This is definitely not my day!
OMG! me too
8 months ago I was talking to a nurse who works in one of the clinics I visit due to my job (I work for NYC department of health), and I happened to mention to her that hubby and I were thinking about trying for a baby. At that point we had been trying for a couple of months. Anyway, I know her for about 4 years now and feel ok telling her stuff, plus we were excited about trying (needless to say we didn't know we had "unexplained infertility then" ). The thing is, she told me "oh fun...how if we try together?" A month later...she was pregnant. She is due December 25 on top of all that! Now every time I see her (which is about 4 times a month) I feel like crap; don't get me wrong...I am happy for her, but she didn't even want another kid until I told her it would be fun and that this one will be a girl. She has two older boys (16 and 11); and guess what?...she is having a girl.
ahhhhhh! She had her babyshower two weekends ago and I made an excuse not to go because I don't think I could have stand it.
I have another story like that with another friend...who is having her baby shower in Dec...ahhhh!
Good luck to all of you

I completely understand, the worstttttt is when someone says that it was a "mistake" not even a surprise but a "mistake" that really aggravates me!!!

Re: This is definitely not my day!
I'm right thre with ya! during this last 2 1/2 year journey I've had 2 very good friends get pg and give birth, multiple people I know have had babies but even though I don't associate with them on a regular basis it still stings. Recently during our struggles I've had my 19yr old nephew's 16yr old girlfriend get pg (due any day), a friend who doesn't deserve a kid (I won't say anything else incase someone sees this), today on my first consult with dr b since my d&c a few weeks ago on the way to his office I stopped at trader joes, while there I get a text from a friend that she's pg, I start crying right there in the nut aisle... Convient bc that's what I probably look like. Then to top things off while waiting in the waiting room I find out that my 19 yr old cousin just found out she's pg. I feel for you, I don't think it ever gets easier. Infact in think it gets harder and harder. It's weird though bc I don't feel angry when one if "us" gets pg. Hang In there!
