NEW to LIFamilies and loving it
My husband and I have been TTC for 1 year now (3 months on clomid and nothing) and decided to go ahead and see a fertility specialist. We are not getting any younger...LOL! Hubby is 47 and I am 38. I have a 14 year old child from a previous relationship. Had all my blood test done (waiting for result), hubby had sperm count (waiting for result) and I had my hysterosalpingogram yesterday (everything good there...YAY!). We will know which course of action to take (IUI or IVF) after all the results are in next week. I find that the waiting is the worst...ahhhh! Also, I am not looking forward to the hormone injections : ) I am a scary cat!
It is very frustrating to see all my friends getting prego right away without trying much(many blessings to them) but I still can't help it but to feel some anger at times. It goes away fast and I am glad for them, but sometimes is difficult for me.
Is anyone "on the same boat" as me? Any experiences?

I had some issues getting preg ( i am 28 weeks now) and it was here that i heard about acupuncture!!! it totally helped me and I was preggo within 2 months!!!
That could be another option you could try while waiting for test results!! especially if you are afraid of the hormones... I was and I wanted to avoid it as much as possible!!
I was prescribed provera and clomid, but wanted to go a natural rout first and luckily that is all ineeded!! the needles didn't hurt at all and I felt great afterwards!!!!
i went to wellness lighthouse center in eastmeadow. i am actually going today. I still go once a month. I actually failed my glucose test and have the 3 hour tomorrow so i am hoping she can help me out with that!! Cariann is a miracle worker she can do anything!!!

How is your clomid experience so far? I took clomid for 3 months and got very bloated on it. I also had major mood swings, headaches and nausea. Everyone is different and gets a different reaction. Unfortunately, clomid was not for me. IUI with injectables next I think, but will know for sure next week after our second consult with our fertility doctor.
