It's official...
AF showed this morning. In a way I'm glad the last few days have been such a roller coaster ride and all I wanted to do was get off. So even though it's not the outcome I wanted at least it's over.
DH and I talked a lot over the last two days and we have decided to take a break so to speak until after the holidays. I'm still going to temp just to keep tabs on things but no OPK's or BDing on command, just when we want to!
I'm starting a new job on Monday and I've been on WW for the last 3 weeks (down 7.1 pounds!) so I'm going to focus on work and getting to my goal weight for a bit. Also, the Thansgiving and Christmas season is my absolute favorite time of the year, I don't want BFN's to put a damper on the time when I am normally the most happy. We decided that come January we'll re-evaluate and decide if we want to start actively TTC again or if we want to take a bit more time. We're very lucky that we are relatively young and have the time on our side to take a few months off. I'm sure this doesn't make sense to some but for DH and I it does. After 13 months of TTC I think a few months of being "normal" people will do us good.
I'll still be around the boards, maybe just not as much. Good luck to everyone, I hope there are many BFP's in the coming months!

sorry about AF but ITA with your approach. We haven't been trying very long and I also plan to take a break for the holidays. Trying not to get too caught up and stressing over everything.
But please still come on when you can because your posts are so helpful!

i fully support your break! we took a break in october because (just like you) i needed to get off the ride for a bit. relax...take a vacation from all this. it was sooooo nice. sorry you didn't get your BFP GL on your 2011 return

Thanks so much ladies! Don't worry I'm not leaving by any means, I'll still be aorund responding to posts and trying to help answer as many questions as I can. You just probably won't see very many of my own posts since we won't really be ttc. But I would never leave all you lovely ladies

I completely understand... I was telling DH that I feel like my life is completely consumed by TTC, Drs appts, shots, pills, vitamins and just constantly thinking about having a baby. I hope you enjoy your time off and hopefully the stress-free time will bring you luck when you try again!

Awww, I think that's a great idea. Sometimes you just need to take a breather from this whole TTC process. It's def exhausting and a lot of work. I wish you the best of luck
