Anyone else not have a Mom

I don't have a relationship w/my mom anymore. Its beyond repair and honestly, I dont want her in my life. I have a step "mother" but we dont have a good relationship either. MIL is good to me but I can only handle her in small doses (she tends to think the world revolves around her).

So heres the thing....I am starting to feel a loss. I am honestly baffled by this. The thought that I am going to start my journey to be a Mommy and not have one of my own to go to w/questions, fears and just support is really weighting on me. I am over my "mother's" abandonment of me....I dont know if its b/c AF is literally making an appearance any moment or if just the thought of 1 more huge journey in my life that I am motherless in. I just feel a huge loss and there is no other way to explain it.

Sorry to toss such sad vibes around right b/f the weekend starts. I'm going to go eat my weight in chocolate now.

We all have mom's but I get what you are saying.

My mom passed away a few years ago so this journey is very difficult like you are saying but in a different way.

If my mom were here it would be incredible but she's not and I can only rely on the hope that she is with me spiritually.

I understand what you are saying. My mother passed away 4 years ago and it was difficult getting married w/out her and now going on the journey of motherhood makes me incredibly sad. I do have two wonderful sisters who are mothers who I can rely on...

I understand where you're coming from. My mom passed away almost exactly 2 years ago. It feels weird to go through this without her. I know we'd be talking about all the stupid little details every day.

I lost my mom in 2007 and even before she passed our relationship was strained due to alcholism. Its incredibly difficult during this time wedding, babies everything else bc you see others with their moms and its hard. DH says I have his mom but it definitely not the same.

Both of my parents died already. It completely and totally sucks big time.

If you have a dad, cling on to him and absorb his love instead of worrying about your mom.

Sorry to be so down, but my mom's 1 year death anniversary is in 10 days. I wish I showed them I appreciated what I had while I had it and now that they're both gone I miss them sooooo much more. And I had a real rough relationship with my dad too...but I miss him nonetheless.

my mom and I dont have a particularly close relationship. She is off in left field most of the time. Its sad, but I have gotten used to it as she has been this way most of my life. I do have a close friend though who I consider a motherly figure to me.

both of my parents are deceased for a very long time now..... and the ttc process makes me miss them more. although there were serious issues with one of my parents..... i still miss the " idea" iof what having great supportive parents would be like...and not having even one to turn to toshare the ttc process with is hard.
