New & with a question
I've been lurking on here for a while and this is the 5th month TTC for DH and I but my first time posting. My doctor wants me to use OPK's for the next 2/3 months. I've been temping for a while now as well. My question is when do I start using the OPK? My cycles avg about every 26 days and on the CB opk website it says I should start using it on CD9. My AF just ended this saturday and according to the website I would have to start the OPK on wednesday. Does this sound right?

Welcome! Yep that sounds right, my cycles are 28-29 days. I usually start testing CD 11 and usually get a  CD 13. Good luck!

Yep. sounds correct. My cycle averages from 26-28 and I start OPK around CD9 Good luck

One more question...it says to test first thing in the morning at the same time everyday but I've seens posts on here that have said the afternoon is best. What is the difference?

i would follow the instructions that came with the OPK... i actually test twice a day... that way you can narrow down the LH surge... i test with FMU & in the afternoon

on the digitals, you can test in the morning. it's the only time i test b/c in the afternoon you have to hold your urine for 4 hours, and i just can't do that with all the water i drink.

if you already temp and know when the temp shift occurs, and its consistent, you can start using OPKs 3-4 days prior to the expected temp shift
