Just quit smoking for TTC
anybody else in the same boat. I started up when I M/C back in march. Its been acouple of days and I am going nuts.

I quit totally a few years ago but now I smoke about a pack a month. It's hard!!! This is supposed to be my last pack and theres 4 left I'm trying to make them last but I know I need to stop ASAP. We're not officially trying til January and I really feel like I can give it up all together. I'm gonna buy ALOT of gum and spend alot of time on the treadmill

in January it will be 3 years since DH and I quit cold turkey. We also did it to prepare for ttc.

I quit when I got pg with DD...
I started again, then quit when I got pg but had a mc. Quit for like 2 weeks after the mc and started again! Quit the second I got my BFP now and hopefully won't start again..DH is a smoker so it's so hard, but he's trying to quit now too!!!

I just did the same so I totally understand
I have quit in the past but went back...
We are starting in DEC/JAN and I know it is best to get that junk out of my system...but man it is hard. Weekdays are okay but hanging out with friends on weekends, having wine etc

yeah i quit on august 15th. what a miserable experience, but so worth it. even though i still have nasty cravings. it gets better.

I have been smoke free for over a year.  I quit last July because I knew we were going to be TTC and I didn't want that to be added stress. I know some people who tried quitting when they first found it and it was so hard.
I will say that it is a lot harder to quit than people who never smoked think. I honestly do not know how I did it. I had tried so many times and it never worked. I pretty much just got it in my head one day and then I did it  . The first couple of weeks are the hardest, but think of it this way - every day that you don't smoke, you are accomplishing a huge goal. Anytime I thought to myself - "Oh I will just have one with my glass of wine", I realized I wouldn't be able to say I hadn't smoked in yadda yadda weeks. KWIM??

I stopped about 2 years ago but DH still smokes....he tried to go cold turkey and was good for a few months but started again. It will be hard but try to stay focused on the reason why you're quitting and you'll get thru it!

Ladies I have been on DH butt too about still smoking. Thank you again. I find myself snacking alittle more and drinking Tea instead of coffee. MIL says to suck on Tea bags

I was chewing on straws which my MIL told me to do and I chewed the crap at of it  I was gagging on the straw also. Gum is next

I only smoked a little bit for a few years, and even that was hard to stop...so I congratulate you.
Not only are you doing this for your future LO, but you are doing this for your health and your wallet.
I'm so proud to hear when someone quits smoking. You can do it!!

Its very hard but its worth it. I smoked for 10 yrs and as soon as we wanted to TTC, I quit cold turkey.

I quit back in 2000. I had smoked for well over 10 years and honestly I think you need to quit cold turkey and cant say oh well i will have one a day......its all or nothing or you will always go back. I tried that way for years and it wasnt until I just totally quit that it really worked.
I won't lie, I still have craving to this day and my mom quit back in the late 60s and she said that every now and then she will still get a craving.....so I don't think it ever goes away.
