Re: 3 mo baby on routine
In my experience we didn't really have a schedule until about 4 months - and Talia really determined the schedule.
The thing is, don't get used to the schedules - cause once you do - they change!

SO true. Ryan's bedtime changes all the time. Some weeks he goes in at 8:00, and others he goes in later. He calls the shots really.

Re: 3 mo baby on routine
We tried doing some sort of routine with dd from around one month. She would eat every 3-4 hours and still does at 5 months. By 3 months we were able to have a set bedtime and routine that we would follow. Now she is so by the routine that if we go off it we know we will have issues with a cranky baby on our hands. I'd recommend starting with one thing at a time that you want to schedule and take it from there..and be prepared for it to change like the others said and watch for cues from the baby.
