I need an anatomy lesson
I still don't get how/ when the egg is fertilized and when you are most fertile<-- does this mean the egg is in one spot or it floats down the fallopian tube? I don't get what happens in your body when you are most fertile. Please don't make fun I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed

I think the time you are most fertile is when you are ovulating or right before you ovulate. This is when the egg is released.
The egg is fertilized when the sperm gets to it. Just think of Look Who's Talking when the egg and sperm meet...haha

you're most fertile when you ovulate. Ovulation is when an egg is released into the fallopian tube. This is also where the egg will get fertilized before it goes into the uterus for implantation.

If it is too late the egg won't get fertilized. You only have 24 hours from when the egg is released for it to get fertilized.

Everything I've read, says you are most fertile right before O and that even though it is possible for conception after O, it is rare.

There's actually a little sperm and egg game I played that taught me soo much. If I find it I will post it.
It shows how much the sperm really has to go through in order to fertilize that egg.
Once the egg is released it hangs around for about 12-24 hours and if it's fertilized then it travels down the tubes and into the uterous for implantation. Because it takes some time for the lil spermies to get to the egg... it's important to  just before ovulation so that the sperm is sitting there waiting for the egg to arrive.

I'm like itching to google it... but I'm at work... and IDK if I should!! hahaha!! They did just lay off my entire department, so I guess it's not like they could fire me for it... insert little devil icon here....

OK I was naughty and I googled the sperm and egg game... and The great sperm race came up... as a free game. I tried to click on it to verify it was the same game and smart filter came up. oopsy!! forgot about that.
I'll check to see if that's it when I get home. I think it is.

National geographic had a special called 'Sizing Up Sperm", it aired in March I think. It was really informative and really explained exactly what happens from to implantation. If you can find it I would definitely recommend watching it.

YAY!!
It is hard!!! It took me a few tries... but I eventually won.
But you really see how hard it is for the sperm to get there!!! yikes!! and don't forget some sperm go the wrong way... the egg is on one side... so some take the wrong tube....
