if you were on the pill...
How long before you started trying did you come off? Or did you stop and just go for it?

We started trying as soon as I stopped taking bcp because I was worried that if I went off sooner, I'd get preg before we were really ready for it. That was 6 months ago, so in retrospect I wish I would have gone off a few months earlier.

We stopped and went for it. The first month off though we got a late start so I don't really count it too much.

well i stopped BC but it wasn't necessarily with the intent to TTC. After 2 cycles off we decided we we would just see what happened.

we started ttc right after i stopped taking bc...but i have endo..my ob/gyn started me on bc to regulate my hormones so the only reason i would be off bc would be for ttc reasons!!

I was off the pill for about 3 months. I used that time to let my body regulate and start to jot down notes about my cycles.

i went off last month and i got a bfp - now i'm waiting it out until my doc appt and i am a nervous wreck!
i keep thinking it happened too easily and something must be wrong b/c it feels to good to be true... i want this so bad and i am trying not be a wreck over it...
i was worried i wouldn't be regular right away or it would take months to get a period on my own but in my case i must have ovulated on schedule b/c i know what days we and it seems right...

I stopped it in May and then started trying the very next month. My cycle became regular right away and I got pregnant in August.

2 years. I went off the pill in February '08 and we started TTC in January '10.
It took me over 6 months to start getting my period on my own after going off the pill, and I knew it would take a while, so as soon as we knew we were going to get married, I went off the pill to give my body as long as possible to self-regulate.
It only took 3 cycles for us to get PG once we started TTC, though. We used other methods of BC in the meantime.

I was off 6 months before DH and I got married so that after we were married we could try right away, but I am pretty sure that is a myth. Girls are getting pregnant a month after they stop BC!

I stopped and just jumped right into it. With my son I got a BFP in the very first month that I was off the pill.
This time around it has been 4 months.
