how long have you been off BC
hey guys just wondering how long have you been off bc? i have been off 18 months and was wondering if it is strange haven't gotten prego... or am I crazy?

I came off for a few months last summer and went back on. I went back on and just stopped again this past August. This is our 2 month of really trying. I 1st month we winged it and I think got a late start so I don't really count it.

Hmm..that does seem kind of long. They say you should allow your body 3mths or so after coming off BCP to regulate itself. If you started trying right after coming off BCP or even 3mths later that should be suffient time to get pregnant. If its been already 1.5 years you may want to consider seeing a Dr. Good luck

I went off a year ago b/c I didn't want to fill another prescription, but only started trying in August. We used other protection till then. Have you been trying for the full 18 months?

we never really tried until now. I have been to the doctor and was checked they said everything is good too.

Well then I wouldn't stress. It's actually pretty hard to get pregnant, you don't have a large window of time. So if you haven't been trying, you may have missed it.

Oh, well that changes the story then  If you have only recently started trying but have been off BCP for over a year then I'd say its perfectly normally to not have gotten your BFP yet.

thanks. i think i am just really down and everyone i know seems to be getting prego. I just got a call from another person saying they are.

ITA. I'm sure it must be frustrating but hang in there! Its not as easy to get preg as we all once thought. Maybe keep track now of the months since you started actively trying as opposed to being off BCP. I've been off bcp for 6 months and trying for 6 months, but i try not to count the first few in case my body needed time to regulate. Good Luck

I know how you feel. I have been off BCP since March 2009. (Not a typo I meant 2009!!) My doctor did an internal sono during my pre-TTC check up in June 2009 and said everything looked fine too. He also did one after my D & C and still said I look fine. How long have you been TTC during the past 18 months? I feel your pain, trust me! FM me if you want to vent and good luck!!!!!
