Alteration Pricing - does this seem right
So I'm going for my fitting for a bridesmaid dress. All the other girls are small sizes so they pay for the dress and apparently alterations are included.
Fat me needed to order a bigger size (I paid extra for that) and they had be get extra length (I paid for the but I'm only 5'8" and they said the length should be good up to 5'11" and I won't be wearing high shoes.)
And on top of that I am the only one that needs to pay for alterations. I'm sitting here It doesn't seem to make sense. If they ordered my larger size and I paid for it why do i need to pay for the same alterations that the smaller girls will get for "free"
I have to leave in 2 hours, so any input soon would be helpful for when I go.

Which bridal store?
Wait and see if you even NEED the alterations; if you do, question exactly what/why you paid extra for.
And then I'd probably take it elsewhere just because I want to be snotty.
I know a great tailor in Ronkonkoma.

Re: Alteration Pricing - does this seem right
I would love recc's but unfortunatly I am in Staten Island.
This place is in Brooklyn - Kelly's Kreations. Don't even get me started on these dresses. We ordered them in April and should have had them by September .. they just got them and the wedding is in 2 weeks!
But I will try on the dress and see what needs to be done. And I like the way you think. I was just about to call a place around the corner from me.

You shouldn't be paying extra for alterations that would also be made the same way to their dresses.
