Re: Silly question....
Absolutly...if you did it at the right time, as mentioned above sperm can live up to 48-72 hours.

I'm using the date based off of a ovulation calulator tool that charted my periods for the past 5+ months.
Are those things even accurate?
thats how i tracked AF for the last year... and they were spot on for Ovulation also... i have an app on my ipod touch...

My app is on my droid! Ok so I feel better now, like I have a chance!
Have you used ovulation kits? Or do you use those only after a lot of trying... I have so many questions
I did use Ovulation kits also... because i didnt know how accurate those charts were either... i used Clear Blue Digital... very easy... go to amazon.com and buy a box of 20 for $32 saves you a lot of money

Re: Silly question....
i had an idea of what week i would be ovulating based off a 28 day cycle. i just came off the pill so honestly i don't even know if i ovulated or will get my period at all but i figured if i went right back to normal my cycle would be around 28 days and i based ovulation off that. i was actually trying to figure out when DH and i should be more careful but then we decided to just go for it instead we only dtd twice around that time with us not using protection...he swears he has impregnated me but i don't know. i've been feeling awfully strange but my experience on these boards is that a lot of it is just in our heads!
my odds are pretty poor since i have no cycle to track right now being i just got off bcps. but for you i think you have a really good chance.
honestly it only takes 1 time. it's just a matter of timing.
good luck to you!
ETS: like me, you are in your first month trying and i liked that we just did it when we felt like it. since we are just starting out i don't think it is worth it to get crazy with dtd and tracking cycles just yet. i figure to give it a few months to see if anything happens minus protection - i don't want to take the fun out of it, make it feel like a chore or put to much pressure on myself or DH if it's not necessary...
