Question about candy/lolipops in delivery room...silly question, I know.

Many things that I read suggest bringing hard candies/lolipops for the delivery room to suck on. I know that when we did the hospital tour they told us that we could only have ice chips. So I am asking what do you think? Anyone have any experience with this? TIA

I sucked on candy when I delivered DS. I was told I could have one or two, but I kept popping them in my mouth anyway. Chat Icon I will be bringing candy this time too. In fact I made a basket of rock candy lollipops to give out to visitors, so if need be I can always dip into those too!

The nurse that did our childbirth classes when I was pregnant with DD suggested those small dum dum lolipops and to stick them in a cup of ice to flavor the ice.

I wasn't allowed to do that since I had GD...

go for a lolipop type. So if can be taken out and not chocked on during contractions.
