*** Monday 10/11 QOTD ***

morning ladies! I have off today but am still up early for some reason.


so i know there have been posts about what traits we want our kids to get from ourselves and our SO, but my question today is about traits we got from our parents. Do you think you are like one/both of your parents? Which traits did you get from them?




from my mom I got her kindness, generosity, and also her passiveness and anxiety.

from my dad I got my anal retentiveness...just like him I need to be on time, keep things clean and orderly, etc. I also got his sense of humor and intelligence.

looks wise i have a little of both...but more people tell me I look like my mom.

im pretty much a mixture of both my parents...as far a looks go...
some people say i look like my mom, some people say i look like my dad.

I think im def more outgoing like my dad, and i get his creativeness altho he is still way more creative than i am (he would always love to help and do my school projects and make them awesome) i also have my dad sense of humor

and from my mom i def get my worrying and anxiety from her! alone with other things! haha

eta: i def get my love for shopping from my mom! altho my mom is wayyy better at finding a good bargain that i am!

From mom, her compassion, her tendency to worry about everything, her domestic desires (but not her artistic capabilities)

From dad, temper, stubbornness, academic pursuits, love of crosswords and reading (but not his number sense)

I am more like my mom, so we but heads, but I can relate to my dad easier at times. I look like a good mixture of them both, but most like my mom. I wish I had more of my mom's artistic ability (my sister got it all) and my dad's number sense (don't think anyone got that )

I have my moms generosity, kindness and definitly her crankines... I have my dads ability to hold a grudge, and strength to speak up when need be. I think they, together have made me well balanced

I dont think i got that much of my personality from my mom... i think im more like my dad as far as that goes... and most of my physical traits came from my dad as well...

except i have long fingers like my mom... the rest of my siblings have stubby chubbies from my dad... lol

I think I look more like my dad than "mom". I actually never thought I looked like either of them until I saw my wedding pics. There is a pic of my smiling while I was getting ready b/f the church and I think I look so much like her. Then the pics of me walking down the aisle w/my dad....I look completely like him. Very freaky for me!!!!

Personality....thats a hard one. My "mother" is not in my life. She is a very tormented and sick person. I really hope that I don't nor never will have any of her personality traits!

My dad.....well he is also difficult (we don't really have the best relationship). I'm sure I do have some of his traits. Stubborn & generous. Thats all I can think of.

I always tell people I've got the worse traits from both of my parents, lol.

From my dad: my agressiveness, my impatience, my rudeness(not a word??), when in a fight I don't back down,confrontational, harshness

From my mom: my anxiety, my inability to keep my big mouth shut

I think I probably look more like my mom, but act more like my dad

Looks wise I think I'm a mix of both but a bit more my dad. Personality wise I don't really think I'm like either of them. Although I love to read like my mom.
