Would you be mad?

Hi According to my fertility calendar tomorrow is my first fertile day. (Today was a "little fertile" day and we BD twice and once yesterday.) I think I will get a positive OPK on Sunday and prob O 2 or 3 days after.

DH just informed me that he is going out with his friend from out of town in the city tomorrow night. This means I wont see him until when ever he gets home which will prob be really late. I will wake up to BD but not sure if he will be able to after going out drinking. My doctor told me to BD everyday. :( I am really really mad. Am I being too harsh? He sees his friend a few times a year so I think TTC is way more important. My DH is a stubborn man and is going into the city no matter what I say.

Can you do it before he leaves tomorrow? Then again Sunday when he gets up.

I'd be upset yes, but somehow manage to get it in somewhere..

what if you bd when you wake up in the morning??

yeah it would bother me too!! tell dh not to drink that much...would that even work? if he is anything like my hubby it would prob make him drink more ugh!

I'd be upset, but know that if I pushed it, DH would just get mad and tell me I'm taking the fun out of everything. I agree, try to fit it in somewhere.

We cant fit it in! I wake up really early and my DH isnt working tomorrow and is not a morning person. He will on his way into the city when I get home from work. I will get up to BD when he gets home even if it is 4 am!!!! But there is no way he will be able to finish after a night out! Is that a normal problem for guys after drinking?

Exactly, he says I am ruining the fun part of everything! This is so not fun for me anymore!!!!!!!!

I tried this morning and it didn't work! I'm already on my way to work. He has to get an analysis if I don't get pg this month so I guess that will be his punishment. We got the script 2 months ago and he keeps delaying it.

i think it's important not to let this feel like a chore or an appointment, KWIM? find a way to do both

I know that is what I am supposed to do but I can't. My dh is always busy which is annoying so I have to constantly schedule it. He hates it! Ok maybe you are right, I need a new approach!!!

Hmm I'd say try to meet in the middle...have him go out a little later? Or is that not an option?

Or just do it Sun AM - you will be fine!

can't you just do it saturday? you mean tonight is when he's going out right? i think you are fine if you do it tomorrow.

I wouldn't get mad at him. as much as it is hard, you (and he) still have to live life... letting TTC take control of everything will only make things worse.

i wouldn't get mad at him for it, but if you can squeeze it in before, by all means do so..

definitely agree that you shouldn't be mad at him. Take it from someone who's been doing this for a loooong time.. at some point you have to let go a little and relax and remember that it's ok if you don't every day.
You have to both live your lives as normally as possible because this journey can become very stressful for both of you, and you don't want to add to it!

So if he wants to go out one night and you miss that night to , then so be it. You'll only have him resent you and the TTC process if you try and force him
