Thursday QOTD

So I will be posting the QOTD for today.
We are all so excited to tell our DH's and families about our BFPs, but is there any friends or family members you are not excited to tell, or think they will not be supportive?

well I think some of our friends would be a little unsupportive. We would be the first of our friends to have a baby and a lot of our friensd are still unmarried and into partying. I think some of them would be supportive but others would not understand why we want to have a baby.

i am also a little nervous to tell my in-laws. they are dying to have a grandchild so I know they would be thrilled....but they can be overbearing so I think once we give them the news they will be really annoying about telling everyone and trying to give me "advice"

Not anymore. The person who I would be afraid to tell because of jealousy is not really in our lives anymore.

BIL and his biznitch wife she'd probably try get pregnant with hwe second kid b/c she's an attention (you know what)

To answer my own Q, no on will really be unsupportive, but I can see my parents being worried, a little upset, b/c I moved so far from them. They are in MD, and I moved to NY when we got engaged. My dad will be retiring soon, and my mom doesn't work, so I'm sure they will be here every minute, just sad they won't get to see LO every day. My only other concern is my sister. I love my sister with my whole heart. She is 12 years younger than me, and I treat her like she is my child. She will be graduating from college this year, and I want the focus to be on her, and not have this pregnancy impact her choice in what she does after college. That might sound weird, I can't really explain how I feel.
I'm sure some of DH's friends will be jealous of his time, but screw that!

Well I know that my Step witches (sister & mother) will be indifferent. Which is totally cool. I will only get p-i-s-s-e-d if my step "mother" wants to play grandma. Aside from that I think my dad will be happy but not very engaging...he doesn't do "emotions"

ummmm thats about it....and actually quite depressing so I'm going to drink a bottle of wine!

Maybe some people I work with. I dont have a very woman/baby friendly career unfortunately.

Thankfully I cant think of anyone that would be unsupportive. DH and I have been married for almost 4 years. I think people are kind of getting impatient lol
I do think that when we find out, we're going to hold on to it and enjoy the "secret" for a little while before we share the news. I think it will be nice to have that as a couple before the craziness begins with everyone knowing...
