not at all!  Complete opposit in fact. I always thought I was going to be a heart surgeon  be married by 20 and have 3 kids.  None of these happened...but Im still happy

I think for the most part... aside from my career.
I got married fairly young (23) to the sweetest, kindest, most loving man I have ever known and had my DS when I was 28. I think when I was younger, I probably would have wanted to start having kids earlier, but little things like mortgages, day care and car payments never make their way into childhood dreams. We live in a beautiful home with my IL's in the apartment downstairs. For most, this isn't an ideal set up, but it has been such a blessing for us, as well as for my LO. He gets to see both sets of grandparents every day. Kinda what it was like in the "old country"... you know... Brooklyn. Haha
My career though, didn't go in the direction I planned. One day I'll straighten that out though...
so yes, for the really important stuff it did

did i marry the guy of my dreams - yes, i did! he even kind of looks like the man i imagined in my head as a little girl
i always knew i wanted to stay home - and i am able to do that and i will when we have a LO
i never pictured FL and i never pictured being married at 23. i did want to have kids when i was younger though. if things work out i will be 26 when we have our first and that is a little older than i thought i would be...
so it kind of did...
i actually think it turned out better - i can't believe this is my life i feel so blessed and lucky to be so happy

my earliest memory of thinking about what i wanted to do was to be an Oceanographer or Marine Biologist... THAT didnt happen lol...
But i do work for a company that during my childhood was a HUGE part of my life... so i guess althought i never really thought about working for MSG... it is still my dream job

A little bit of both...I am a teacher and married the man of my dreams blue eyes and all, but so not when I thought I was going to! However, it all happens when it is suppose to happen and for whatever reasons they may happen! I am happy where I am in my life if I just stopped to think about how lucky I am more often!

NO!
I always thought that I would be married with $$, living on LI or NJ, be a SAHM and 3 kids by the time I was 30.
Never did I imagine that I would move across the country away from my family and not meet the man of my dreams until I was 32! I never thought I would be a step mom either!
Here I am now at 36 and we are going to TTC in Nov. Money is tight but, my family is far but, I've got DH and he's my everything.

NEGATIVE. Everything is completely opposite to what I wanted. The only thing about it that does not bother me is DH. He was worth not getting everything (I thought) I wanted.
I just hope that moving forward things go a little more according to my grand plan
