TMI-prenatal pills question.
Can prenatal pills cause constipation? I am on the RiteAid brand prenatals (for a couple of weeks now) and Im having difficulty using the bathroom . I do however suffer from constipation once in a while but it seems since starting prenatals Ive had trouble every day. Anyone else having the same problem? Are there any prenatals pills that wont cause constipation? TIA

yes its awful... some of the RX ones actually have a stool softener in them because they cause constipation.. best thing to do is take some colace with them.. it wont cause diarrhea or anything just will help you go!

I know pregnancy can cause constipation, but I'm not sure about prenatal vits... I would be inclined to say no, but I am by no means an expert. 
I take the Target prenatals but my diet is awful, so I attribute my digestion woes to that more than my vitamins.

Thanks ladies. I have been taken docusate sodium which does help me a little but its still difficult
