PIO longterm....
With my first DC I was on the suppositories.
I always do the heating pad before and after, but my DH has noticed my butt is getting rather lumpy and he says he is running out of places to stick me.
I have to be on these for at least another 5-7 weeks if all is ok with the pregnancy.
any tips?

Re: PIO longterm....
Are you guys rubbing it after you do the injection? You can also ask RE if you can do the shot somewhere else. I don't think IM shots can be done in other parts of the body if your doc is ok with it.
Good luck!

You are spreading the skin taut right ?
I know with me that makes a HUGE difference ! I don't even do the heating pad etc.. and very rarely even feel the needle ...The area he can do the shots is is pretty vast, let them draw a nice big circle on you !

Re: PIO longterm....
i started to get lumps too but what i have done is try to pick a spot that is not bumpy and then use a heating pad after. I leave it on for like 15 min or so then I massage it. I started out just rubbing it and then really massaged it finding the the deeper the rub the better. The bumps have pretty much minimized but I think I am mildly allergic cause the area is itchy only at night. (weird) HTH.
