OUCH! I REALLY Don't Know How Much Longer My Buttocks Could Take The PIO, ADVICE?
As most know, I just did a FET:) It resulted in a pregnancy , however, I was told (can anyone explain why) that with a FET you have to stay on PIO longer than with a fresh cycle, for 12 whole weeks! This means I have almost 7 more weeks of this and I am soooo soarrrrrrrrrrrrrr! OK, vent over!

My RE is letting me stop at 10 weeks, just as it was with my fresh...
Fortunately they don't bother me !

I had a really hard time with these shots when I was pg with DS  I used to warm the area beforehand with a heating pad and after I gave myself the shot, I would heat the area again and really tried to massage the area. It offered me a little relief - but not as much as I needed!
You will be done with the shots before you know it

massage the buttocks for about 2 minutes directly after injection and I promise there will be no pain!

I didn't do PIO for my first IVF just the suppositiories.
This IVF my RE said I can try and if I get pregnant and feel like I can't take them he will switch me to a pill and suppository??? Try asking if they can switch you

I'm in the same boat. The actual shot doesn't hurt its just that I'm so friggin' sore and that whole area is swollen. I've tried everything. Some days are better than others but I hope I get to stop soon. I'm at 6 weeks now - I wonder if I'll have to go the whole 12!!!! Please no!

Ugh I hate those things!!!! I CAN NOT wait until they are over.
Its weird, i have good weeks & bad weeks with it. last week no pain or soreness at all. This week I can barely walk.
i think every so often DH hits a nerve & then i am limping around & have to make up stories a work as to why im limping.
It was easy the first time, not so much the second & third!!

Honestly, I always used ice with PIO  Iced for 20 minutes or so, then BAM, right in the keester.

Yup. Those shots are the worst part.
I had to have them for a long time (my levels dropped as I was weaned off).
I have no advice for you except that they will be over... and they are worth it!
