With DD #1, we werent TTC so there was no planning. Since we are now trying to go for #2, im clueless.
Is there a test to see when you are ovulating?
How long after going off the pill should you wait to TTC?
Thanks!!

Welcome!
Some doctors say that you can ttc right after you go off the Pill. Other doctors advise you to wait 3 months until your cycles regulate, because it makes figuring out your dates easier.
As for the tests, they do exist. They are pretty expensive. The ones that are easiest to read are the ClearBlue Easy (we call them CBE) on this board:
The box comes with seven sticks. You start using them once a day a few days before you THINK you're going to Ovulate and check every day until you get a positive. It's digital and easy to read - you get an empty circle for a negative, and a smiley face for a positive.
The test tells you that you have a surge of the hormone LH in your body. That LH surge means your body is getting ready to ovulate, and will usually do so in 12-36 hours. You can't tell if you've actually ovulated, though, unless you take your temperature every day when you wake up in the morning. I get several "smileys" a month and don't actually ovulate, because I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I wouldn't have known to go to the doctor about it if I didn't temp. There are tons of threads on here to show you how to do that - try searching for "temping."
Good luck! Hope this one is as easy for you as your first!

Welcome to the boards!
You can temp, check CM, and buy ovulation kits to help determine when you O.
Some girls (like myself) can just feel ovulation.
As far as BCP is concerned, my midwife told me to wait 3 full cycles before trying.
Good luck! I hope your stay is short and sweet!

Re: New to this board
I used the First response ovulation kit (it had like 20 sticks and was about $40!)....and it totally worked for me. This kit, unlike the CBE, shows one line when you're not O'ing and two lines when you have your LH surge (when you are or are about to O). I found them easy to use, although they were expensive. However, the CBE sounds like it's just as easy...It's all preference. Best of luck!
