Need bathroom finishing touches help

I'm just about done decorating my bathroom, but I'm having trouble with a few things. Here are pics of the room:









1) I'm just not happy with either set up of what is on the shelf of the wall cabinet. Any ideas of another way to arrange things, or of something different I can do there?

2) Do I need something above the towel ring on the wall?

3) Do most people put the tissue dispenser on top of the toilet where I have it? I feel like the towels hanging above it are interfering with the ability to grab a tissue. Would it be better served on the countertop, with the soap dispenser on the opposite side?

4) Do most people actually keep their countertop empty, or is it ok to keep my DD's toothbrush and soap up there?

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with this room.

i think everything looks great

i would put a small art piece above the towel rack

i as well keep the tissue holder on the toilet but i agree with you the towels hang to low - i liked it without the towels

i think it is fine to keep stuff on the counter - i have our soap dispenser and the toothbrush holder thats it

If you want something above the towel ring, maybe floating shelves where you can store extra hand towels, move some candles over there too?

And the countertop is fine. I have the soap, toothbrushes and a candle on mine. I put the tooth brushes away when we have company though. Im weird like that though.

ETA. I buy the long boxes of tissues and put them on the shelf above where you have your candles. I have to do it this way because my toilet back is sloped and the box kept falling off. Your tissue box is fine where it is.

I agree with putting either a rectangular box of tissues or placing it on the vanity! I LOVE IT!
