Anyone ever have to ween off medications?
What was it like for you?
I'm feeling like I want to cry ALL the time, well except for the times when I'm really UBER cranky and yelling at the dogs or my DH.

I wouldn't mind mushy, I'm in full effect BIOTCH MODE!!
I actually spoke to a doc yesterday who even though I explained I was in the middle of the weening process, tells me to see a high risk ob because I might be able to stay on my medications.
This start/stop crap is not boding well with me.

No BUT I have had to ween myself off caffeine. That was hard...caffeine headaches suck and only go away for me with CAFFEINE!
Good luck!!

Re: Anyone ever have to ween off medications?
how long have you been in the process of weaning? did you just start, or has it been a while?
i am now just off of several medications after many long years of being on them. the weaning process was hard, but reminded me that a pill will not solve my problems. when i do start to freak out, or feel depressed, i try (and i mean try!) to take a step back, and look at the situation, count to 10, blah blah blah.
just remember: every day off of the meds is one day closer to a healthier you- and healthier baby-to-be!

WOW, thanks for the advice. I know it's so practical, but it's just difficult right now. DH was warned but last night just blurts out, why are you so cranky? Did he forget????

Re: Anyone ever have to ween off medications?
I tried to get off one of my meds that I though I could do with out. Well let me tell you I was the BIOTCH of all Biotches. After speaking with my OB/Gyn, med PA, and my RE all was decided that I should stay on. It was risk vs. benefits. I need the meds to feel funtional. Feel free to FM with any questions.
