Start w/cardio first...running on treadmill 10-15 min. Use machines for about 30-45 min. Sometimes end session w/bike for abt 10 min....
(I mix in free weight exercises with machines)

I alternate between two types of workouts - just cardio and cardio plus weights.
1) just cardio - we have a treadmill at home, so I never use it at the gym. I just use the elliptical mostly. I usually do 45-60 minutes.
2) On weight days, I start of with weights (usually3-4 leg machines, 2-3 arm machines and also free weights). Then I do 25-30 minutes of cardio (depending on time, I usually have an hour at the gym but then I need to leave).
3) 3-4 times a month I take a pilates reformer class.
