Re: Holtsville (Greenbelt Pkwy area)-Sachem Central Schools>
I grew up on Spiral which is off of Greenbelt Pkwy.
I also went to Tamarac and so did my siblings. I also have a friend who now teaches there. The school is so great you will love it and that particular area is such a wonderful place to live. I had the best childhood in that neighborhood. Good luck

I have a friend who grew up in Holbrook and I was looking at a house on greenbelt actually. she said it was a great area and she loved the schools. it turned out that road was busier then I would have liked so we didn't even bid on the house.

Greenbelt is a cut through. A pretty busy cut through. But the schools are Sachem. We just bought in that district, we were happy with the school reports. Not the size of the classes but can't do anything about it.

Yes, Greenbelt is probably busier then we would like. We are also looking at a house on Avis and Glensummer. I think Glensummer is off Broadway. Any info on that area of Holbrook. Thanks so much Ladies for all the advice, i really appreciate it!
Denise
The area you are referring to is Parkland. I live there one block over on Glenmere. We love, love, love this area. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I have heard great things about the Sachem School district. DS is still too young to go. I would not buy on Greenbelt though, there is a lot of traffic, the same with Inverness - also a cut through with a good amount of traffic. Good luck. FM if you have any questions. Did I mentioned how I love where I live.
